Abstract

In Ultrasonic Inspection, the first and foremost step to find the defects in welding materials used in industrial applications is Noise Reduction. It is used to improve the detect ability of the weld defects. It plays a vital role in Flaw Detection and Characterization of materials such as Austenitic Stainless Steels etc. This study gives a review of various noise reduction schemes or techniques for reducing the noise to detect the welding defects and aims at the usage of it.
