Abstract:
In this study we overview the open source software, describe the advantages and disadvantages of using open source software in modern Higher Education following Computer Science Curricula 2013. The study’s main purposes are to clear the understanding of open source software, to present alternatives of the commercial software and demonstrate the potential benefits of integrating open source software in Higher Education.
