Abstract:
Among various image fusion methods, several efforts have been done to improve the resolution of multispectral images using panchromatic images and fusion based on high pass filtering is one among that. In this study, we proposed a modified panchromatic sharpening method which calculates the histogram matching of the missing high frequency components in Multispectral images and post processing technique also added for deduction of noise and color distortions. Experimental analysis illustrates that the proposed method produced the better results both visually and objectively.
