Abstract:
In general, Voltage distortion is existed between the reference and the actual output voltages in a pulse-width-modulated voltage-source inverter. This distortion is dead-time effects, which caused by the deadtime setting and the trailing effect of non-ideal switching characteristics of the optical coupler and power devices. To improve the performance of the drive system effectively, this study presents a novel dynamic deadtime compensation, which is based on the device characteristics and the running conditions of the motor. Finally, the results of experiment verify its validity.
